Krystle Madrid, Psy.D

Dr. Madrid brings extensive and contemporary expertise, paired with a results-driven approach, to help clients create meaningful and lasting change. She has been treating trauma across the lifespan from children up to older adults in the leading therapies of EMDR, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. As well as treating trauma, she is also a certified grief counselor and has a specialized interest in couples therapy, specifically post betrayal. She also has an interest in working with high risk/high stress professionals struggling with burnout and those launching their career or contemplating a career change. Dr. Madrid works with individuals of all identities, emphasizing cultural humility and identity-affirming approaches. Currently, Dr. Madrid holds a position as a Fire Psychologist and acting director for The Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD) thus furthering her experience to first responders. She also is an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor with Pepperdine University training and supervising the next generation of therapists seeking marriage and family therapy and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology.
